an ATN file is an actions file for photoshop. Open the Actions pallette in photoshop, click the little "more options" triangle plus lines button in the upper right corner and select load actions. This will prompt you to find and select the actions you've downloaded for ben's class.

I'm new to most of this -- what is a .atn file and how can I access it? I am trying to open the "HDR Actions" download that is available from Ben Willmore. Thx.

Diana, I've tried this too, from one image manipulated in Camera Raw to give hree different exposures. You need to output 16 bit tiffs with no exif data, and then manually enter it in the HDR function in PS. You'll get there eventually, Michael :-)

Thank you, Ben for this excellent tutorial. I tried doing the Merge to HDR in PS from the Bridge and it goes through all the necessary gyrations, and then when it's all done, it says it "could not perform this task", but does not have an explanation as to WHY. All my images are 16 bit. Is there something else I am missing? Thanks, Diana

Grant,
Here's the website: http://www.hdrsoft.com/order.php
Photomatix Pro is a standalone application. They sell a plug-in but it looks like it only works with CS2 or CS3. If you decide to purchase Pro, make sure to put the coupon code DigitalMastery for a 15% discount.

I've enrolled in HDR Mastery but can't find a way to purchase Photomatix Pro.
I presently have Elements 4. Is this enough?
