Course: High Dynamic Range (HDR) Mastery

(Part of Digital Photography trac)

Instructor: Ben Willmore

Photoshop Guru, Ben Willmore, shows you step by step how to master High Dynamic Range (HDR). HDR is the process of taking a sequence of exposures, allowing you to lighten your underexposed areas and darken your overexposed areas to better simulate what your eye would actually see. You will see how to best choose subjects for HDR, such as watching for movement, clouds, sensor dust, and when you can find the ideal light to master HDR. Ben will show you how to merge exposures to enhance or add an illustrative effect to your photographs.

Note: This course requires PhotoMatix Pro. If you would like to purchase PhotoMatix Pro, see the resources page for any of these classes for a special discount code.

This class is an absolute must for anyone that is serious about HDR. Not only is the information invaluable to making great HDR photographs, but Ben Willmore is an amazing communicator that presents the information in a way that is easy to understand and apply. Thanks, Ben!

This is great. I really like how Ben makes an art out of enhancing photos. Instead of simply touching it up he turns in into its own piece.

This class is incredible. If you are ready to take your photography to the next level this is the class!! I have been using photomatix for about 4 months and obviously I have been flying blind. Thank Ben for revealing HDR and your CS3 secrets. As a monthly enrolled customer, I am asking for more Willmore classes!!

We use Photoshop CS3 and Photomatix. If you enroll monthly you can take Ben's Photoshop class and download a free 30 day trial of Photoshop from Adobe.com's website to see if you like it. You will have to also purchase Photomatix but will get a discount from our website.
